New Magpi-Dropbox Integration Coming April 1st

Faster Image Uploads

For some time, Magpi has used Dropbox as the repository for image date (photos and signatures).  The method for this involved first uploading to the Magpi servers, processing the images, and then moving them to the user’s Dropbox account.  We’re happy to announce that we’ve managed to modify this process so that images can now be directly uploaded from mobile to Dropbox, eliminating the “side trip” to the Magpi servers.  This will save time and improve performance.

The new version of the Magpi+ mobile app which incorporates this change will be available Monday, April 1, 2019 (but this is not an April Fool’s joke!). To continue uploading image data, you must update your app version. For most of you, this is probably set to happen automatically, but you can follow these instructions to force-update apps for iOS or Android.

Android Users Need Version 4.4

Note also that going forward the minimum Android version required will be 4.4 KitKat — which was released all the way back in 2013 (this is a requirement of Dropbox).
