Magpi’s data collection and messaging tools allow our users to gather information on client satisfaction using a variety of approaches, in a variety of settings. Magpi has been used for more than a decade to collect data in traditional evaluation surveys using our mobile apps – starting with Palm Pilots and now on iOS and Android smartphone apps.
Using those traditional methods, trained data collectors go into the field and interview respondents. A new and promising alternative, called “crowdsourcing” is opening new opportunities for public/client/patient/customer feedback. With crowdsourcing, a member of the group of interest is made aware of the possibility of providing feedback – via an online or newspaper ad, a sign in a public place or place of business, etc. To provide their input, they typically text a keyword to a posted number – and that triggers an interactive SMS (iSMS) activity that collects their information.
Whether by traditional surveys, newer crowdsourcing, or a hybrid approach, Magpi lets you get the data you need to drive your organization.
