Closing the Gap to Education Access for Out-of-School Youth Migrant Workers

World Education uses Magpi to support four New England states to address the education needs of out-of-school youth migrant workers, ages 16-24. Under funding from the U.S. Office of Migrant Education, World Education’s EdTech Center is using smartphones and tablets loaded with Magpi to deploy screening and assessment tools that will support further education, training and employment of these young migrant workers to help them achieve a high-school equivalent diploma. The data collected assists the EdTech Center to develop online mini-courses on a range topics such as money management, in which course participants learn how to create a budget and manage expenses.
