UNICEF Using Magpi for Child Health in Sudan

UNICEF, in conjunction with the Sudan Ministry of Health and the London School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM), works to ensure the health of Sudanese children through vaccination, nutrition, and other programs. Like WHO’s Global Polio Eradication Initiative, UNICEF has been using Magpi for LQAS (lot quality assurance sampling) to assess these activities, and Magpi has played a key role.

One such assessment, with accompanying training, occurred in May of 2015.

To address this challenge, the World Health Organization introduced lot quality assurance sampling (LQAS) as an additional tool to monitor SIA quality.
